On a food tour in Bogota, Colombia!

Cooking around the world, one country at a time…

Hey y’all, I’m SO excited you’re here!! My name is Grace and I’m on a mission to cook every country, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe! I started this project in 2019 as a fun little hobby to explore other cultures when I wasn’t able to travel as much… and then COVID hit. Through the last few years, this project was one of the things that helped protect my sanity and brought me joy in an otherwise bleak time. It’s been so fun to have a creative outlet and to be able to learn and explore along with all of you! Plus all the delicious foods don’t hurt! ;) I’m certainly not a trained or professional chef but I’ve loved learning about new cooking techniques and flavors and I hope you’ll have fun following along!

*Side note: I do eat mostly veggie so you’ll notice that a lot of my recipes/dishes have been modified to a vegetarian version. I realize that this is not the most authentic but it is what best fits my lifestyle. :) If you have any questions about meat versions, don’t hesitate to ask.

A little about me: in my regular life I’m an ER nurse and live in Denver, CO. When I’m not cooking, I love all things outdoors- hiking, skiing, camping, scuba diving, etc! I also LOVE traveling, which was a huge inspiration for starting this journey. Some of my favorite travel memories include studying abroad in Italy with one of my best friends, skydiving in Switzerland, tasting port wine in Portugal, hiking to Machu Picchu, working with refugees in Iraq & Bangladesh, eating the most delicious scallops at the cutest cafe in France, scuba diving in the Philippines/Australia/Belize and hiking through the jungle to the most gorgeous beaches in Colombia! It’s been a wild ride so far and I can’t wait to see what else this beautiful world has to offer!

Ok, let’s go!!
